The Hollywood Bowl Cookbook

From the book's introduction:

 

"Show me a musician who does not love good food and I immediately become suspicious. A love of music and a love of food go so well together that they are virtually inseperable. "If music be the food of love, play on, give me excess of it" - even Shakespear (at the opening of "Twelfth Night") linked food and music (although no in the most obvious sense), so it is only right that this cookbook should be created, compiled, edited, and published by a group of remarkable people who help so unselfishly to make the music happen, our wonderful Hollywood Bowl Volunteers. They support us in so many useful ways - helping to sell season tickets, organize area groups, work to make opening night festive, entertain the musicians of the Philharmoni, host "Open House at the Bowl", and so much more. All of our volunteers deserve the profound gratitude of everyone who enjoys the Philharmonic's invaluable contribution to the quality of life in Los Angeles. May the success of this fabulous cookbook encourage our volunteers to ever more glorious effots on behalf of our great Orchestra and our beloved Hollywood Bowl.
